Default best track for 1st csl trackday

Over the past 10 years I've done maybe 4 trackdays usually in an classic Porsche, so I'd class myself as a novice trackday'er

Doing loads of trackdays isnt' really my thing, but I do fancy doing an odd 1 or 2 in the CSL.

Any recommendations on what is the best track to start with, somewhere with plenty of run off etc . Would Bedford or Silverstone be a good starting point ?

Bedford great, tonnes of run-off and every type of corner to learn the car

The problem with Bedford is the strict noise regs - CSLs driven with vigor can easily get black flagged and asked to leave (if you don't know where to lift off the throttle).

I'd say the best track is the one you know the best - that way you can build up speed and learn the car, rather than having to learn the track as well .

Nordschleife, there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right .

Bedford

CSLs are fine (unless you have full supersprint and 100 cell cats you may be close) - Group M don't bother

Ive done Bedford 15 times with no bother and it is the best to try the car for sure.

That's not really true Mike, it takes some severe exhaust mods to fail a CSL at Bedford
