87 or 80, both are bloody tight in fitter's language. The amount and type of oil or grease on the threads is another variable with bolt tightening. I've checked mine each time it comes from the garage and it's always different but never as tight as 80? One of my wheels shows signs of over tightening with the edge of the bolt holes distorting, so be careful, it is possible to damage them. A friend of mine got his Z3M back from BMW with the wheel nuts finger tight, how he laughed at finding out half a mile up the road. |
