AP Service
I finally got my APs back. To be fair one of the rear callipers was seized, by that I mean all the bolts had seized in the alloy. I had to buy a new one when attempted removal of a bolt resulted in the alloy snapping.
Godspeed carried out a service and re paint. If I had of known I needed a new rear calliper I would have stuck with black but the fronts had already been painted to the new colour. End result= very happy with the serviced items. Thanks Ben £85 for fronts £75 for rears I'm not sure I have a before shot but here's the after. I am going to get the AP logo painted in, black. |

Blimey that seems very reasonable! So what do they replace? And do they spray them as part of the price or is that something you had done before they serviced them?

All in Graham.
Work done Callipers stripped and cleaned, I mean fully stripped, check all parts, piston/seals replaced where or what is needed. Then all paint removed, looks like a powder base coat applied to the calliper that's fooked. Then final paint of the colour you've chosen, just no decal paint applied. Looks like new pad retainers and bolts fitted as well. |

Please clarify price is each and not for the pair? Seems you have had all new bolts and clips replaced too. Were these all additional or as you put it 'All in'? |

Alex it was £320 which included vat
It would have been £15 delivery back to me but I had a guy working in Bridgend who picked them up. It's all in, I know they charge for alloy pistons but that's on oem stuff if you want an upgrade. The bolts and anti rattle clips have also had a base coat to get the rust off. They did say mine was the 1st Ap that they couldn't get apart to split and in Bens words, he's done hundreds, just my luck.... Worth a call if you need a service. I can't believe how the alloy can corrode, sort of pitted in places. My turn around was slow, I'm not sure if they thought I was going to kick off about the damage but if it was seized then what could they do. They tried all the normal procedures and just couldn't get the bolts free. Once we discussed options and I told them to give it their best shot, which failed and I got the new AP rear turn around was quick. |

You could soak them in wd40 or the like before sending, it may help removal, although the other 3 were fine
