budge up and let me in
Much as I dislike trawling the forums looking for new recruits, I have been cajoled along by your friendly northern mockney who assures me some of you may be inclined to do the odd track day now and again.
Anyway, my name is Nick and for my sins I am now the official track day organiser for that fine institution, the BMW Car Club of Great Britain. As far as I am aware we are one of the longest serving trackday providers in the country. We first thought about taking our members to Silverstone some 30 years ago back in the late 70's and we have been doing them ever since. Our annual Autumn CSL day (the original E3 one) was joined by a regional springtime event at Cadwell Park in the late 80's and I threw a summer event at Croft into the mix back in '96. Our trio of trackdays flourished into the new millenium despite the attempts of the commercial operators to lure away our customers. 2009 will see the Club running six (yes 6) full blown trackdays - all of them run professionally yet on a 'not for profit' basis. We now have an open door policy and membership to the club is not a pre-requisite to enter one of our events. Forum members will be welcome as our guests. Thankyou for reading so far and I look forward to seeing you on the forums and hopefully on track. Nick |

Any idea of dates?
Would be interested in Cadwell, Donington, and may be even Oulton.. By any chance are the BMW club also looking to offer track day insurance? |
