Battery dead...

Well, i arrived home from being away for 3 months to find the battery dead on the CSL - as expected.

Unlike earlier attempts, this time it will not re-charge... Not bad for an original 8.5 year old battery!

Anyone using an aftermarket (cheaper) battery?

I am using my original 9 year old battery in my Z3.
Works very good.

I bought an original BMW for the CSL, same type/capacity etc.

Welcome home mate.Ive just got a Bosch battery from Halfords,it comes with a 5 year warranty.

Thanks Stu, not really gonna get the time outside of having my little girl & visiting family, etc, as I have to go back out in 7 weeks.

I am planning to visit the Ring as part of a Euro driving trip though!

Been not bad apart from having a bad back most of this year!

I'm back doing the same seeing friends and family but getting some track time in as i haven't been on track since our Ring/Spa trip May 2010.

Let me know when your going to visit Daz and i'll see if i can head down for a catch up

It's been almost a year and a half since I was on track Easter last year!

I'm planning to stop over at Dazza's the first weekend in September - would be good to catch-up again dude
