Think Peilican Parts agrees with you, thanks Jules.

Cheers guys.

Change the filter, regulator, o ring and circling yesterday so now need a hot trAckday to test out the cooling! It sounded like a bag of spanners for 5 minutes after but then all settled down.

Easy job, even time for a ciggy whilst I did it! Cheers for the tea Billy!

(did you remember to lock the door?)

Yeah funnily enough! By the time I met her later she'd managed to drink as much alcohol as humanly possible, then had to drive her car home with a bit of belinda carlisle at full blast.

The drink always flows better on a school night

You are meant to prime the filter a few times by turning the ignition on and off and on again a couple of times, it would have run great from get go then.

You are brave using an angle grinder on a petrol soaked filter. LOL

So I bought:

Fuel filter (1) and copper washer (3)
Regulator (4) [which comes with 5+6 fitted] and circlip (7)

Got them fitted no issues, except it takes a few minutes for the car to run evenly and fuel pressure to get up to even pressure I guess.

On getting home I decided to cut open the Filter (non service item) and see what it was like. aluminium construction with steel threaded end.

I cut it open with an angle grinder. Something I can't do with the regulator (it's too small) so I need to borrow someone's dremmel with metal cutting disc so I can see if the vacuum disc is broken.
