How many wheels do you have?
Just wondering what most other people do with regards to track days as far as wheels go. In short I have 15 spare wheels bouncing around the garage et al. I should point out that not all of these are for the CSL.
As far as the CSL goes I have four wheels with Cups on and two spare fronts with 'wet weather' tyres (Pirellis actually- not my choice) and then another buckshee front with no tyre on for refurbishment purposes. My thinking is that I seem to get so much brake dust on the fronts after a track day (obviously not so much on the rears) that I would be constantly refurbishing them if I kept them on for normal daily use. Hence the two spare fronts with 'wet weather' tyres. So do most other track day attendees also have a spare set with wet weather tyres on ie not Cups. All in all it means she looks her best when not on track. Is this thread pointless - ??? No awards please. Just keeping in line with the 'Shimmy' regular new thread policy . Pip Ps I use RS19 pads....or is it 29s for track days. |

I've got 2 sets of CSL rims, one in black with cups on for the summer, one with Eagle F1's on in sliver for the winter.
Thinking of changing the black to some other color but can't decide what? Maybe bright red like the gen 2 rs's or balls out day glo green or yellow but not sure if I have the balls to go with those colors. Ando
