996RS yum yum
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3563255.htm
A friend Clive who some of you know (and is on here once or twice) has this 996RS up for sale so if anybody is looking for an equally or even more focused track/road beast, these cars are epic and prices will only go one way.

Hi,
Shimmy- Nice looking Car, not my cup of tea, but the fact the Ad says will take a ''CSL'' in Part Exchange puts it into perspective for me. Regards, The Gorilla. |

If I were in the market for a 996 I'd get this. Fair price.

Yes, 2 CSL's but your money is just a safe in a 996 RS and it is one of the rarest modern RS's there will probably ever be. It's the last of the pure, no-frills, no safety net 911 RS's. If ever the term "modern classic icon" was appropriate, it's this car. In an ideal World, I'd have it. But the World is not ideal and I need a car that's reasonably comfortable and safe on road and suited to track work. Therefore the later 7 RS is on my shopping list.....................one day.

The 996 is a great track car BUT not such a good road car tbh. Especially with a/m suspension on it can be a handful and has no DSC etc. I think CLive wouldnt mind a CSL as hes never had one and can drive it on road a bit easier as well I love the 996RS, only Porsche that i do like TBH

My stock 996 GT3 is a bitch to drive around town (but a beauty to drive on track) . My modded CSL is much more fun to drive every day .
