Hey up

Anyone on here serviced there AP's themselves? or do you know where to send them off to to get them done, cost as well?

Basic service is calliper seals and nipple replacement I think.

Simpsons did mine while I waited! Or post them to them.

Dead easy.....I drove to Simpsons, they serviced them, I drove home.

Pretty trouble free tbh

if you are happy to bleed your brakes then you have more than enough know how, too replace the seals!

do yours have dust seals too? or just the o rings?

all you need is a bike pump, a piece of wood and a knackered flat blade screwdriver( -which is the officially recommended tool according to the AP guide that comes with the kit!) to prise the old o rings out....

be very careful removing the nipples, lube them up well and leave it to sink in before trying.

this post is wide open for abuse....

mine went from looking like this ....

use the blunt screwdriver to lever the old dust seals out...


then screw one of the new nipples into the banjo thread and pump the caliper up til the pistons pop out - use a bit of wood to wedge those already out...


take the old o rings out


soak the new o rings in brake fluid for 30mins while you clean everything up, refit o-rings, pistons and the just push the new dust seals in


to this


I reckon even Shimay could do it
