The Germans made it work ! All the RHD are just a compromise of the real deal ... the true design with regards weight distribution etc., (and a load of other stuff that Gorilla will be able to expand upon) will be for a LHD ..... I think ?

Hi,
Toplad- The E46 M3 was designed as a LHD car hence the exhaust manifold is bastardised for the RHD steering linkage, about 3-4 BHP less. Then the S54 L6 engine is inclined to the right,and thus the weight distribution with driver only, is much better in a LHD car than a RHD car. ** DuncanR beat me to it. Regards, The Gorilla.
