Maybe a little help please !
My car was checked out by the local dealer yesterday and a broken rear spring will be replaced under warranty along with a couple of other small jobs but they informed me today that they cant get it in till the 27th.
I'm mean't to be heading off to Spa on the 26th with a few mates with there Nobles but I dont fancy doing the trip without changing the spring. I was just wondering if anybody nearish to me had a rear spring that I could borrow for a week between me having the trip and getting it done by the dealer. I have contemplated asking the dealer to give me the spring and I'll fit it myself but by the procedures they have been through so far I really don't think they will give me that option. I also need to change the rtab's next week and maybe fit a limiter kit to save the life of them in the future so I'll be having a go at making the removal tool Thanks in advance Matty. If you are doing Spa you must get the RTAB and spring done, of course. Try ringing BMW Murketts in Huntingdon and see if Antony can fit you in before then. They have lots of experience ith CSL and know how long I takes/ how quick it is. Alt the Spring is easy to do yourself with just a jack but RTAB are a little harder and geo needed after I think. Last solution is to pop by mine on the way to Chunnel and fit my spring that is off while Intrax is on and send I back later

Thats thrown me a googley, Didn't think about the Geo afterwards......
Shim, Where abouts are you in Herts as maybe if your around this weekend I could pop down in the Noble, Borrow your spring and take ya for a quick blast in a boosty car. Thanks for the offer Derek but I dont want you to go through all the trouble of getting it posted and it would be ideal for me to get it done this weekend at the same time as the bushes. Shim, you dont happen to have a bush puller by any chance....... Beer tokens available Matty. |
