Dunsfold Day, a Thank you and a request for feedback
Firstly, a massive thank you from me, Richard, Pete and Ruth and the rest of the charity team for supporting the event yesterday,
The combination of different car clubs displaying made a big impact to the event and that was down to you guys with your support. We hope that moving the display area to allow easier access (and to enable you to leave earlier if necessary - we know if can be tough to stay all day) was a good thing and of course putting you nearer the autosolo test area enabled you guys to have some fun with your cars too. it did seems on the times i visited that the display area was getting a lot of interest during the day. There were also a lot of changes made to the event after feedback form 2010 so i'm looking for some honest feedback on how you feel it went and what we could do to improve things for 2012.....if you loved it then it means we did well and the positivity we have seen so far makes the hard work worthwhile .................. but we know things can be done better and what we're really after is some constructive criticism from your guys as there are a lot of events during the course of the year, we want this one to be up there with the best of them, the only way we can do that is to find out from you what we can do to improve it. so, fire away and dont hold back! |

Great day Harsh and really well run (layout, stewards etc). Good variety of things to do and great mix of people to chat with.
Suggestion on my part may be to create a third catagory of car rides for the "hyper car" for want of a netter word. I purchased a ticket early on for a blue ribbon car and was approx 6th in queue. Everyone in front either wanted Enzo or F40 whilst many of the guys with vipers, gt40s, Aston, Murci were far less busy. Then as people joined the queue behind me it was obvious they too wanted Enzo / F40 so some had a very long wait. There were no shortage of people paying £50 but it may be worth having a £70 slot for Enzo, Zonda, F40, koniggsegg etc as these will be more attractive to folks than Diablo, Aston, Viper IMHO. I know your reliant on folks attending with the high end cars, but it may help the queue system, get more people out in cars. For those that really want the high end stuff, am sure an extra £20 for a chance of lifetime ride would be something they'd be prepared to do. So maybe Sports (standard fezza, Aston, Porsche), Super (murci, stradale, gt40) and hyper (enzo, f40, zonda etc) and price accordingly. Other than that, top drawer event, well done to you all mate and hope you raised plenty of cash !! |

Guys, well done. I don't do these events lightly tbh but I've come to yours as it feels 'honest' and good value if you know what I mean.
It doesn't stink of money making but makes you feel welcome and part of it. £7-8 entry and en I'm happy to pay £2-3 for kids rides all day. No queues also. As I've got the kids to tag along so car rides are not for me but I stil find there plenty to do. Food area was much better this year. More chairs and less queues. The reason there were people at the static display was because a lot of people walk from the car park and hence walk passed the cars. If this wasn't the case there might be very few. Motorbike display is ace. If I had a few things to help you add to the show I'd say. 1. Put up a small stand for viewing the track. Kids would get a much better view. 2. Have two areas for loos. It can be a long way for kids to go. 3. Get Duncan to give some passenger laps 4. How about get some race teams to display FOC. But overall you are doing a great job. I have to say though if it was not for this frum I would know about it so maybe check the level and tyoe of advertising you are doing !

I didnt manage to make it there this year due to work, so I wouldn't like to comment as I am not sure what was and wasnt there but the above feedback I think would work well chaps... with the exception of one shim
Regards further promotion for the event. I print many leaflets & spreads in magazines for the day but have never come across one away from the press. However Im well aware the show is young and still growing, being its 2nd yr. So I can only imagine things will get bigger & better and hopefully be advertised more widely. Not to forget word of mouth from all the attendees. Keep up the good work Bachi Last edited by karbonkid; 15-05-2011 at 07:09 PM. |
