Default BMW Warranty...piece of mind??

Hi all,

My quest for a csl continues. Ive come across a csl with 50,000miles+

Normally i wouldnt have been interested but the fact it comes with fully comp zero excess BMW warranty is appealing to me.

Just a quick question...would such a warranty provide you with complete piece of mind i.e. if i were to buy this car and stuff were to start to go wrong with it, would i be well covered by this warranty and would it also cover me for little foibles such as hesitant acceleration for talks sake, which bmw would check out and if needs be rectify under warranty?

In other words would such a bmw warranty offer me the piece of mind that if anything untoward where to happen the car mechanically it would be entirely covered by the warranty scheme and i would therefore have little to worry about, from buying such a car??

Please let me know your thoughts on this as soon as you can folks as im seriously considering going for this car... cheers all in advance!

The BMW warranty is by far the best out there
As with everything there are limitations, but it is very very good

Cool guys...so providing i can continue the bmw warranty cover on the car, would you guys consider that any potential risk of buying a car with those sort of miles has been almost removed?

Yep if you keep comp or named warranty and go to a decent dealer for warranty work you have a car that will be covered for nearly all conceivable mechanical faults in the future.

Personally, I'd say go for it.

One thing I will point out though, is that please bear in mind that the cost of warranty for cars with <60K is about £850 a year or something, but with >60K cars it increases, considerably. Glendog has accurate figures somewhere...I might try the search function myself here...or here even,
BMW CSL Warranty
Good thread also

Hope this helps, you've come to the right place for everything CSL related... and women... and beer... and track stuff... ocht, you've just come to a good place, lol
