You will need the tom tom car kit to let it work properly .
The iphone GPS alone is not good enough . I have used it and if it works it is fine but sometimes it just stops working (if you recieve a call or a text) .

I think it has problems acquiring a GPS lock through my Climate Comfort windscreen. I gave up in the end!

I agree, it is the low hz if the iPhone GpS that makes this usable IMHO.
