Immaculate M3 SMG...
Shamelessly pasted from my Pistonheads advert If any of you boys fancy a nice daily
Regretful sale of my immaculate M3, the only reason for selling this is the recent purchase of an M3 CSL. If you're looking for a cheap M3 just for the sake of owning one then I'd look elsewhere. If however you want an immaculate fully spec'd example that's been owned and maintained by people who can afford to give it the care it needs without cutting corners then read on. This car has had thousands spent on it as you will see from the list of work below, I specifically wanted one that had all of the common problems sorted out so that I wouldn't have any surprises. Yes, you can buy a 2002 with 80k miles for £10k, but you only need to replace the disc's and pads all round, or have an SMG pump fail, and you would have spent more than my asking price. This M3 wants for nothing... Car: Facelift 2002 '52' reg (26/11/2002 registered - classed as a '2003' model year in BMW paperwork) Carbon Black Grey Leather SMG II Gearbox Facelift Features include: Led rear lights Front Strut Brace Bi-Xenon's Inflatable Side bolsters Widescreen MK4 Sat-Nav I wont bore you with a list of all the standard M3 options, as I would assume if your still reading at this point you already know this. Optional Extras: Widescreen Sat-Nav with 2010 3D maps Harmon Kardon Professional 6-CD Changer Bluetooth with Voice command Heated seats Electric Adjustable lumbar Electric Adjustable bolster support Power folding heated mirrors Parking Distance Control system 19" Polished M3 alloys Tyre pressure monitors Rain sensing wipers Auto Xenon's Shadow Line Gloss Trim Service History: 1200 Mile running in service - BMW Cooper Reading (1,427 miles, 30/12/02) Oil Service: BMW Scotthall Hampshire (10,205 miles, 04/07,03) Inspection 1: BMW Scotthall Hampshire (21,366 miles, 13/-5/04) Oil Service: BMW Williams Liverpool (32,849 miles, 01/06/05) Inspection 2: BMW Rydale Central (44,028 miles, 22,02,05) Oil service: BMW Rydale Central (54,489 miles, 21/09/06) Inspection 1: BMW Chandlers Brighton (66,729 miles, 25/04/0 Oil Service: Lee Shannon BMW Specialist (77,508 miles, 16/04/10) Work completed in the last 10,000 miles: New SMG Gearbox - £4294.85 (BMW Vines Gatwick) - 72,578 miles (still under BMW warranty) New SMG Pump - £2029.06 (BMW Vine Gatwick) - 76,027 miles (still under BMW warranty) New Disc's & Pads all round + Oil Service £1100 (Lee Shannon BMW of Bentley) - 77,508 miles New Clutch - £700 (Munich Legends) - 82,602 ( last week!) New Michelin PS2's all round £1100 - 78,000 miles Mot: 7th October 2011 Tax: 31/03/2011 (only £235) Wheels/tyres: 18's -Ideally could do with a refurb, but do look tidy 18" front - 225/45/18 Continental M3 stamped tyre 6mm of tread 18" Rear - 255/40/18 Continental M3 stamped tyre 5mm of tread 19's -Fully refurbished professionally at great expense by Spit and Polish so these as as new 19" front - 225/40/19 Michelin Pilot Sport 2 5/6mm of tread 19" front - 255/35/19 Michelin Pilot Sport 2 5mm of tread Bodywork: Bodywork is outstanding, genuinely not a scratch on the car. Front has been resprayed at BMW to remove all stone-chips etc Interior: Again, excellent very little bolster wear and immaculate throughout. No scratches on the sat nav etc like many examples I've seen As you can see the car is photographed with the 18" alloys on, the 19" polished alloys are away at Spit and Polish and have a full refub so they will be as new when they go with the car (wheels are back tomorrow 14/02/2011). I've always run the car on the 18" alloys as I think the ride is much nicer - maybe I'm just getting old! I can honestly say you will not find a better example, I looked at 2005 examples when I brought mine - I didn't buy on price or mileage, just condition and maintenance. I paid the full asking price when I saw the car, as I knew it would save me thousands in the long run. All documents present, I'll also issue a new HPI report for the buyer. Car is priced to sell with 18's on, 19's available at additional cost. I have a firm trade offer on the car, however I'd rather it went to a genuine buyer who will appreciate it for what it is and not a trader wanting to make a few quid. Car is in Crawley for viewing Price: £9,9990 with 18's £10,999 with new 19's Contact: 07860475047 Thanks for reading, James Last edited by funtime; 26-02-2011 at 08:02 PM. sorry to be the one to inform you mate, but this is a pre-facelift car. Facelift cars are after 53 reg. And facelift cars do not have the smg written in silver underneath the gear nob. It has had the rear LEDs added on.
i would change your advert if I were you, you don't want people thinking you are trying to con them. you said: 'I have a firm trade offer on the car, however I'd rather it went to a genuine buyer who will appreciate it for what it is and not a trader wanting to make a few quid.' don't you mean you had a shit trade offer and you'd like to make a few more quid to help with your csl purchase. nice looking car otherwise. toofastfor you may be right on the facelift bit - looks like the pre-facelift climate control panel too. Boot handle is pre-facelift (shorter). Clean car though GLWS

Good luck with the sale mate, good detailed advert.
Congrats on the CSL Purchase! Sell it with the 19's and keep the 18's for Track Tyres 'cause you WILL be tracking the CSL...won't you? |

I will track the CSL, but I was still undecided on whether to use the 18's or CSL wheels? I think i'll stick to CSL wheels - was talking to Ant at Simpson's about it and he said he actually prefers the 19's on track... |

I've been told that 53 onwards was the fully revised facelift, but different forms of facelifted cars were as early as 52 plate and had a mixture of both bits. So I'm sorry to inform you that it's not just "had the LED rears added on" As for the trade offer statement, I have had a reasonable trade offer, and obviously I would like to get more, but I'd have to be retarded to word it how you've suggested in a for sale advert. Thanks for the comment's though |
