What RPM does the intake flap open when not in sport mode?
I'm retrofitting the intake flap to my CSL intake on my non CSL M3, which means I'm going to have to control it with a window switch (like is traditionally used in nitrous setups) instead of the ECU. That said, I'd like it to open at whatever RPM BMW decided was best-- what RPM is that?
Thanks in advance! |

It depends on whether the sport button is pressed or not.
Without, I think it opens well over 6K and without its about 2.5K. This is a rough guess and I know someone more talented will be along soon with a more accurate (read 'perfect') answer. Good luck with that, I'm not sure how she'll run without mapping. |

I think I'm going to control it with a variable window switch. That way I can open the flap full time whenever I want, or flap it as I choose. I've been running fully flapless since I got it: |

How have you managed to get the oil dipstick there and still visible and have the airbox. What is missing that obscures it in the CSL?

I can't remember the official RPM open and closed but when I get home I'm gonna get in the car and check
But when you've finished take it out as it will break
