Default too cold for cups?

looking forward to trackday at oulton this saturday and might be optimistic but if hoping for weather like it is with me at the minute - bright + sunny, but chilly. was wondering what sort of temperature people would use as a cut off point to run road tyres instead of cups on track? 7deg c rings a bell but not sure what people have found?

cheers

you remember correctly but that is for road use.

If you are on track and it is dry then the CUps soon warm up. IF it is cold and rainy you might have some slippy fun.

TBH you are more likely to crash on the way there or on the way home.
