rubbing noise..
Hello chaps,
Getting a new rubbing/groaning....noise from the rear when slow speed manoeuvring on full lock, worse when turning left. Pretty sure it's coming from the rear, but you know how sounds can travel around the car.. Running standard suspension, 15mm spacers front 10mm rear.. any ideas?? Carl |

Sounds like the diff if from the rear. Is it worst when cold?

Creaks/groans could be a snapped rear spring. Check the car doesn't sag on one side at the back.

Hmmm thats interesting as I've only just fitted the spacers... perhaps a link there, I'd be interested to know if changing to KW3's makes a difference
Yep should have mentioned I've just had the rear springs changed.. both were snapped! Hope it's not the diff, doesn't seem any different if the cars hot or cold... would the diff deteriorate in a noticeable kind of way?? |

Could be the diff yeah. Check the seals for weep'age (sounds rude)
Could be a collapsed bearing on one of the output shafts. I had it go on mine. Maybe just needing the 'new' replacement oil put in. |

It's an LSD so it will groan slightly under slow full lock turns. An oil change will quieten it down somewhat,
But don't panic too much |
