Default Team Dynamics Wheels and Offsets

Okay so this seems to be done to death but just need some opinions.

I am going to get some track wheels and tyres not concerned about swapping wheels front to back so sizes are as follows

Front 18x9j et30(extends by 20mm over OEM CSL Rims) or et35(extends by 15mm over OEM CSL rims) Not sure if the 20mm extension will foul the arch with 235 tyres?

Rear 18x9j et 15(extends by 6mm over OEM CSL Rims) running 265 tyres on the rear.

All team dynamics wheels pro race 1.2 not sure if I can get 1.3's in these sizes, not sure of the benefits of the 1.3's over the 1.2's, any ideas?

Any thoughts on this set up welcome!?

Have been using this website to calculate the offsets

Cheers

Standard et44 front foul the Arches just with 15mm spacer which is the equivalent of et29. 9j but on 235 Tyres would push out the tyre another 3-6 mm thus making et 30 look a tight fit.

I'd be going for et35 front if you wanted decent road wear. This would give you the look of standard whith 12mm spacers fitted

on the rear et15 is perfect.

Just be a bit careful working out the offsets if you are using sane Tyres. For example 235/35 up front on 8 to 9j rims will have a similar width irrespective of the rim size as the tyre is still 235 wide. You def won't get an inch difference in width

my 18x9.5j fronts et37 arrive this week. Mine are running 265 all round so it will be very tight fit and I'll probably have to space out a little. Unless you can trial fit it is better to have bigger offset as at least you could add small spacers if there is a clearance option.

ok cheers Shimmy, looks like I will be going for the et35 at the front then and stick with the et15 for the rear.

You are running 265 all round holy sh!t that's wide for the front? What's the benefit?

I will be using these wheels to drive to and from the track so think 265 on the front on the road will be a nightmare!

My new fronts are Volks

I know it is gonna be a tight fit but ihave run et27 9.5j fronts at -3 cAmber so I am hoping """" that with the careful offset choice I Can run with -2 camber to get me there and back

265 all round should allow mr some extra front grip whilst also double tyre life : fronts wear edges and rears middle!

@cantfind1: Ive come to the conclusion of running TD 18x9J ET30 all round with a 10/15mm spacer on rear with 4x 265/35. This allows me to swap wheels/tyres, keeping spacers on the rear giving the equivalent of ET20/15.

Wow opened up a can of worms!

Ok so we are all in agreement that thorney run TD18x9 et 30 all round with spacers on the rear to compensate.

By my calculations an et 30 on the front will give an extra 20mm extend outwards and extra 8mm space inner clearance?

agree et 15 for the rear is perfect, its just that i don t like spacers and will be running 245 up front and 265 in the rear so wheel swapping won t be possible for me. Which is fine by me.

Those who want to swap wheels front to back then it looks like et 30 all round is the option to go for, with a spacer on the rear say 15mm, however I am still not clear if this will fit the front with a 265 tyre on?

Any way have made my decision TD 18x9j et30 up front and 18x9j et15 in the rear. 245 tyres for the front and 265 for the rear. Any one talk me out of it?

Or John any prices on this setup?

my 18 x 9.5j are in the uk now and will be trial fitted next Thursday at Simpsons wuith 265/35 tyres. I will trial them -2 and -3 camber so if you want to wait till then i can tell you if 265 all round will fit
bear in mind youll nearly double the life of the tyres being able to swap them fron to back, pays for my new rims in 2 sets of tyres
