bad Day..
could it be what we call "A Damn Bad Day...."
Today was my first trackday since back in 2009, so got one place on "Le Mans" to start 2010, spent yesturday to check Csl top to bottom, cleaning brakes, changing pads oil and fluids levels and so on..... Arrived in le Mans this morning around 8 AM, registed my car for track session and jumped on track... got 5 or 6 laps in to get the feeling and track in memory, heat up Cups and started some laps throddle to the floor... when I lost ignition on one cylinder, engin dash light came on with security mode @ 4000rpm Max.... got back in pits and started to check engin Bay with one or two local guys ... conclusion, spark plug or coil probably dead......and No spare with me.... So around 10 AM, I had to call in my insurance for assistance to tow Csl away to the nearest garage and get it transfert tomorrow to the Bmw local dealer @ Le Mans Second bad event, By looking the car been towed on the truck, I saw my front 380mm disc brake totally cracked with +/- 3mm gap on the external ring and crack going thru nearly to the bolting on the dish... I'll have to change a pair or rotor too.... probably not cheap a set of 380x36mm disk kit And so on...... Couldn't even find a rent a car to travel back home... None at all in rent a car offices around Le mans!!! or eventually 50 miles away in the nearest big town or around 7pm in Le Mans.... so got into a taxi to railway station, picked up the next train to Paris around 2pm, changed station, jump on an other train connection (delayed 1 hour 1/2).... back in Normandy, jumped in a taxi and Nearly Arrived, I noticed that I'd forgotten my home keys and gate/alarm remote control..... where..? in the Csl...located in "Le Mans" ... I had to wait an extra Hour out in the cold to see my Girlfriend arrive.... it's now 9:30pm.... took me nearly 12 hours to be back home.... and le Mans is only 150 miles away...... bloody Nightmare....

bad bad day, but tbh when i first was reading the thread i feared even worse
at the end of the day you need the rotors and you had recovery so not terrible, but definitely bad

well.... shit happen's... Better to get that problem locally than get this around the ring or an other track fare away I'm rather happy to have noticed the broken disk rather to see it smash around the track on time attack and see the car finish it a tirewall...
Dan, the 380x36 6p kit I have was sold under the name of TWR, the dish fabrication is unknowed to me, the 380mm is from stoptech and the caliper is a sort of AP 6P ( AP or Pagid reference goes in) I made a single mistake when I bough it, I took drilled rotors even if all my friends said to me "take Slotted"... I confirm now ... do not take drilled
