Default SMG fluid transfusion

Does anyone know the steps on how to change the SMG fluid?

You'll need a BMW Group Tester One (commonly known as the GT1 tool) or an Autoenginuity tool.

Have a read of this - might be helpful:

I read it T$ and I dont think I would attempt it with 2 good hands mate ! Only BMW could come up with as complicated a procedure for chucking some oil in a gearbox !.. slightly unkind perhaps Thank goodness for BMW Warranty and Murketts !!

There's really no real need to change the fluid in the SMG system to be honest, unless your pump needs changing. It's a sealed system and reality is it either works or it doesn't - given the pressure that it runs under.

the DIY looks complicated, but in reality it probably isn't that bad (from what I can gather anyway, have obviously not tried the job myself yet haha .. fingers crossed I won't have to!! Although chances are I'd just pay someone to do it haha).
