An Evening With Lewis Hamilton!
Thought Id share my exclusive Evening with Mclaren last night as im sure some may be interested.
Last night I had the privilege to be at the Mclaren Technology Centre with Lewis Hamilton. Invited by Vodafone through a competition my friend entered a while back, giving us access to the MTC that is not open for the Public to visit. Here Mclaren Design, Build, Develop & Test inc using state of the art machinery and wind tunnel technology. We entered the gates greeted by security showing us the way into the car park, where there was an awaiting chauffeur ready to shuttle us to the Technology Centre. On arrival we were handed cocktails and in perfect view of the Mclaren LM that is promised to be Lewis Hamilton's future prize if he wins 3 championships for him team. The evening entitled looking round the Centre showing off some of the most exclusive & rare cars Mclaren can offer. We had the chance to be photographed with Lewis's Trophy before he hands it over the Jenson, climbing in the Mclaren F1 car and some fun including a pit-stop wheel change timed challenge, super imposed podium shots etc. We were then informed that Lewis was to be on site in the next 20mins. In that time people were making their way to the entrance where he was to be making his entry and positioning himself for a 1 hour talk with us throwing questions at him and talking about his career, upbringing and his plans for the future. Everyone was in place and his entry was one not to miss as we were told to look to our left as the windows were starting to Vibrate! With very little light on the narrow path inches away from the surrounding lake, we heard before we saw Lewis's Latest Mclaren F1 car driving the approach to Mclarens entrance. Given us a display, Lewis was wheel spinning and spitting flames that was second to none! He then pulled into the lobby where he couldn't resist but to redline the beast showing us its personality. From then on he talked and pulled out 10 lucky people out of a hat, or in this case his trophy, to have a personal chat upstair in the marketing room. The whole evening was remarkable and I was honored to be a part of it. Although photography was not allowed throughout the evening I couldn't resist! Enjoy! Jesus. That place looks more like a laboratory than a garage!

I was most fascinated with the place being faultless and as windy said the workshops were like laboratories. What I would do to get a job there!
One day my garage will look like that! Perhaps a few videos including the entrance may put you at peace? |

Fantastic stuff, what a place that is would love to have a good nose around there. You can see Ron's total attention to detail written all over the place.

Great pics! Must have been a great evening. My cousins husband works there, he helps make the carbon fibre cockpit.
