Ele Box Question - What is this module for?
My CSL has the following module located in the rear side wall, behind the rear carbon trim panel, Any ideas what it is? Looks a bit retrofitty from how it is wired, but the stickers and module OEM. Wondering what the hell it is, and if it is standard on all CSLs.

Cheers Mark, its quite strange though. One of the numbers reads 028419. When I google this I find ebay adds of a Mercedes phone module which look very similar.
Prob a standard part also supplied to BMW, or has a previous owner fitted a merc hands free kit to my CSL? The other number on the side is 11177 0803 and 30 60 09 120, but I can't find much on that. The car is also beeping when it gets raised up and down on a lift. Is that some sort of OEM built in alarm / immobiliser, or does it also sound like something 3rd party? [IMG][/IMG] |

Looks like a retrofit to me. Afaik CSL never got the option for alarm.
Also i advise to remove it immediately, as it ruins the perfect weight distribution
