Stranger in the camp!
Not been here for a while so thought I'd blow the cobwebs off my log-in details!
Was looking for an "Other Marques" section but none to be seen, maybe could do with one? Anyhow, replaced Cesil with an E92 M3 Comp Pack (thread somewhere but pics probably disappeared). Great car, did everything you could ask from it with little or no effort. Unfortunately it bored the ass off me. So, it was time to move it on and find something loony to replace it...this in now in my garage "02 plate, 41,000 miles, yes they want to kill you in the wet but knowing that might help a bit. Induces a manic grin when opening the garage door, a car should do that but very few actually do |

However, then again, wearing one back to front could possibly be a fire hazard what with having a thumping V6 just behind your head |

I think the v6 is a fire hazard in itself

I used to own a Ph2 Clio V6 painted in Illiad Blue and i really regret selling it... A fun to drive definitely and a future classic for sure. Don't see it as investment and keep it in your garage, JUST DRIVE IT!!! |

Is this a phase 1 or 2? I can't tell
I was thinking about buying one before i ended up with the CSL, i liked everything about it except the engine. I felt it just wasn't special enough. But the rest of the car is bonkers.. wish BMW had the balls to make something like this I really like that it still faintly resembles your run of the mill clio but nearly every part is different. Just like the old Group B Rallye Homologation Street Cars

The engine is a bit of a grunter as opposed to a high revving jobbie, it's not fast in modern terms but that's not why I've bought it, it's been bought as it's an occasion to drive it and it invokes a daft grin just by looking at it. Already a fair bit planned for it, Tomorrow it's in for the fitting of a MetaTrack Cat5 security system. Next week it's in with the guy who detailed my CSL and my E92 for the 2 stage polish and full gTech treatment i.e. outside, inside, glass and wheels. 29th it's off to a specialist near Chippenham for a new cam belt which is an engine out job, which leads to a few other bits whilst it's out such as water pump, pulleys if cracked and a clutch. Looking to change the back box as it's a bit on the quiet side but, with not many being about, I'm not exactly inundated with choices! When they were raced in the ClioV6 Trophy series the exhaust was made by a French company, Orbisound Technologies. Contacted them and have ordered one which should hopefully be here mid / late Sept. Spoke the guy who's doing the engine stuff and he said they're expensive but unbeatable when it comes to sound and quality so, thought sod it...get one! Last edited by pops; 02-08-2017 at 08:32 PM. |
