Driver side airbag recall
Just had my drivers side airbag changed to a brand new one courtesy of Bmw as part of the recent recall. This turned out to be win win as I'd recently had my steering wheel retrimed by Royal steering wheels and also had the airbag surround repainted. Now that Bmw have fitted a new airbag the steering wheel is as new. So anyone thinking of a retrim for their steering wheel now would be a good time.

Recieved a letter from BMW 2 weeks ago, that my car has to have its drivers side airbag changed within the next 3 months, or else it will be taken out of service.
