New CSL Owner From Hong Kong
Hi all!
Been lurking on here for a long time back when I had my previous E46 M3 Competition Pack in Toronto, Canada. I sold that one when I moved back to Hong Kong. I have always loved the CSL and I modded my E46 M3 Competition Pack with all sorts of CSL goodies. Recently, I got the chance to jump on a low mileage immaculate sample of the CSL in Hong Kong. The car had just one owner previously and had only done 14,000km (8,750 miles). Here are a few photos! I am loving every bit of the car. Only one problem that I am running into. The brake pedal is very soft and it doesn't seem like I have any braking until the brake pedal is at the same level as the throttle. I have tried flushing the brake fluid twice. The second time I changed to Castrol CTF fluid. Also tried machining the rotors. None of these helped. Any pointers with what is wrong with my brake system? Everything is still original from factory. Thanks in advance to any advise!! Art |

Has it got standard calipers on it? How have you been bleeding it, i.e. what method?
Was it originally delivered new to HK? |

You'll hate me for saying this but are you sure that car's only done 8K miles? I know you don't see much in the photo's but the engine doesn't look as clean as I'd have expected and the kick plates look a little corroded......

Yup! I checked records with BMW. The car is dusty and everything because the previous owner stored the car in his cargo. It wasn't air conditioned or anything. The car is in for a huge detailing session soon.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to CSL ownership. I'm based in HK along with a few other register members. We should get together for a meet at some point.

Mine has covered 16k and the engine and sills look in the same condition.
