Default Front disc heat shield

Evening chaps

Had the CSL out today and it seems the heat shields goosed on the front drivers side. Rattling it's head off today.. I've got 6 pot ap's I'm taking it for granted that it's the standard BMW part? Any idea how much for a new one?

mine have been goosed for 4 years....keep adding new bigger wasters to trap the screw point under as its normally the rusty screw holes that cause it

The OEM shields need to be trimmed to fit the AP's so don't worry if you need to further modify. If you buy new ones you'll have to cut then to fit AP's again

just had mine done by David Raper @ cartech & care ( ex Richard westbrook carrera cup lead mechanic for redline )

Turned out to be a bit if a pig of a job as the front bearing had to be replaced at the same time when the hub was removed

That's why I keep repairing mine, have a new pair ready for when bearings need changing.

Alot of people remove them anyway, I wouldn't worry too much. I'm also in the washer crew to hold mine on but when it gets really bad, I'll just remove it.

Same - always worth doing when the bearings are due for renewal.
