Flap stuck open ... Anyone know the part no's
My intake flap has suddenly stuck open , a common problem I gather.
Don't want to remove the flap and would like it all getting work as factory again. Assume it's the actuator that's packed up .... Or could it be something else ? Anyone know the part no's for the actuator and anything else I might need ? |

It's actually more common for these to get stuck shut and refuse to open. From my own experience it's the rubber edge of the flap that sometimes swells and sticks to the inside of the Carbon air box opening, which can cause the actuator motor to burn out while trying to open the flap that's stuck shut. If your actuator is Caput then this is the same part: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3313112509...84.m1423.l2649 (as mentioned previously on here) at a fraction of the cost BMW ask for the so called genuine CSL part
