Default My CSL has some gremlins oh noooooo

It all started when i noticed when unlocking and locking the indicators didnt flash ??? The car is plugged into a ctek so the battery should be fine. I checked voltage and got 12.70 volts static. On starting the car 14.01 volts. I put the car under load i.e fans, lights and heaters and it dropped to 13.70 volts. I thought this looked ok.

Ive not driven the car for a couple of weeks and it drove fine. After it had warmed up the first time i give it some revs the battery light came on and stayed on. So i checked the voltage and got very similar values to above. Drove some more and the light went out. Now the indicators flash again on locking.

Ive done loads of voltage reading and i havnt had a bad one.

Ive replaced the belts and pulleys a few months back and they all look ok.

Any ideas ?

Due a bmw oil service this week on 2 year time . No warranty so bit baffled

Maybe your Ctek is buggered ? Mine died last winter, so they're not indestructible.

The time to worry is when it won't start, batteries don't last forever either, just replaced mine with a big butch Bosch - sod the weight issue!

Me too.... biggest battery that the tray will accept (kept the std lightweight 1 as well though as there wasn't anything wrong with it).
