Steering Wheel Cleaning thread/sticky
Ok I give in, I'm sure there was a Steering Wheel Cleaning thread/sticky but can't find it.
I'm sure i've missed something obvious but maybe someone has it bookmarked. I though it was GlenDog wot did it and it mentioned products etc...

For me, warm water with dilute and mild detergent.
An clean old T shirt, and then dab (don't rub) the wheel. Don't get the wheel to wet and dry as you go along. You will be surprised how much muck comes out and how the colour improves! |

Warm water, Squeeze of some lemon juice and a micro fiber. Perfect every time. This is if you want to save money.
You can also you race glaze alcantara cleaner or BMW's own alcantara cleaner spray with a microfiber cloth.

Did someone not pull the wheel off, remove all the gubbins and drop it in a basin with a warm soapy solution and let it soak a while before rinsing it off a few times?
I use the Raceglaze stuff and yes, it was Rob that posted it. Watch the trim pieces though as it removes the grey from those too of rubbed too hard. |
