Default Front end stone chips, paint or not?

Looking at the front of my car I'm wondering about whether the stone chips are worth getting it painted or not. To be honest I'd prefer to keep the paint standard as it's never been touched, and I cant see it ever being as good as the original. Has anyone had this done to a high standard and who did it?

I have found that a chipex kit keeps the front end of mine looking smart enough and it is only £40 for the large kit!

To be honest the original paint on the carbon bumpers were absolute rubbish - so long as you use the same paint system as BMW did it'll be better instead of worse in my opinion.

Original paint is over-rated. Paint is paint ... mass produced painted parts are never as good as quality hand painted parts - period.

Just use the Glasurit colour system - which is what BMW uses to paint its cars - you'll get the exact same finish and with a better primer than originally used on carbon components.

Just tell the painter to use a grey undercoat primer and not white - to keep originality.

A08 has gone through a few changes however and the formula has changed 3 or 4 times now as the original tint is no longer produced - it shouldn't matter as the bumpers were never ever the same colour as the body as they were all painted in different batches to the main chassis and never really matched properly.

I would rather have fresh new quality paint over original chipped to hell paint. Prep work is important and sanding back to primer is a must.
