Alcon Race Disks, Front
Anyone got a set?
The saga continues... (Alcon now telling EARS that they'll only supply disks in quantities of 50+ and the price has gone up £100 a disk). Dave at EARS is working on a fix / solution, but it's far from fooking ideal. |

Find a compatible disc from PF or AP?

Hi,
I do not believe that the Disc Mounting Belle 'PCD' for Alcon is compatiable with the AP or PF. Please correct if wrong. So to use AP or PF disc will require the existing belles to be re-machined if it can be done, I even think the belle lip is different, or new Disc Belle's. Regards, The Gorilla. |

I believe you're correct, which is why EARS have been talking direct to AP about making a replacement disk. Their (EARS) is that the Alcon disks are better than AP / PF etc, but not for the price they're trying to charge & EARS aren't prepared to buy 50+ discs. I've got a call out to Thorney to see what they have, but i'm not exactly hopeful. It's getting to the point where i'm starting to wonder about taking the Alcons off the car and fitting APs. If it's this hard to get replacement disks, it's not ideal. |
