Usually these people steal photos from others - I searched google and can't find these photos on there. If he was scamming I don't think he would get back to you? Surely just ignore you and not explain himself.
I think give it a chance. If you don't receive anything paypal will always give you your money back as he would have to prove delivery. If you get an old sofa delivered then just hope it has some money stuffed down the back or refuse delivery
