I think it was Autocar's Andrew Frankel who was the most critical of the CSL on launch. Said it was too uncomfortable and harsh for a daily, and not worth the extra money over standard, although I've always thought he was thrown off course by the presence of rear seats
IIRC, Autocar's Chris Harris, plus Dickie Meaden & John Barker from Evo, thought much more highly of the CSL
