NC500 in the CSL
5 Attachment(s)
Well, like a few others of late, I got fed up looking at the CSL in the garage and thought a good run was long overdue. A few guys from work were organising the NC500 http://www.northcoast500.com/ so thought it would be an ideal opportunity to blow the cobwebs away and my-ph-my I've glad I did. (Apologies in advance, can't use Photobucket at work)
First up was new wheels and tyres... Team Dynamic 1.2's shed in 18' Pirelli PZero Trofeo R's, which are an awesome alternative to Cups. Attachment 13226 Attachment 13227 The this happened... Attachment 13228 Attachment 13229 Quick stop at the local BP for a fill of the good stuff, next stop Inverness. Well, Larne - Cairnryan then Inverness strictly speaking Attachment 13230 |

Home safe, with an additional 1195 miles on her and a few more stonechips. Daughter helping me store her for a few weeks while I head offshore.
Attachment 13241 Amazing run guys and amazing scenery. We had one wet day but really good weather the other 3 so for Scotland not too bad at all. Very tiring squeezing it into 4 days and if I was to do it again I'd take the 5-6 days at it, clockwise from Inverness round to Thurso and turnaround back to Inverness, the roads from Thurso clockwise to Inverness aren't that good in comparison to the one's on the West coast. If you've a free week during the summer, get it done. As for the company I was in, all work colleagues in various forms of machinery. Guy on a Yamaha Fazer, another lad 3 up in a V6 Jag XF, one guy in the WRX and another in the Orange Fastra, Saab Turbo Engine, it was seriously quick and I'm sure we all had equal amounts of fun but it was me who fell back in love with the CSL, just an amazing bit of kit but I needed the AP's on more than one occasion. Sorry about the way the thread is put together, best I can do. |
