At least i look like a human film star... rather than a Lassie throwback!
You lot will make your mind up soon, do i look like:-
1. Bob Hoskins
2. Mickey "Tojo" Rooney
3. Robin Williams
4. All of the above...including lassie !

anissut 16-02-2010 11:38 AM

All these Jap races are totally fixed. Cracks me up how the GTR squeezed across the line after the last corner.

Yes they did. One of the driver makes a comment about Porsche 997 brakes being better then the CSLs and if U watch carefully U can see the CSL braking a little earlier then the Porket but then again it does have the Giant M5 with equally poor anchors :ban:, in front of it

he argued quite rightly that stock CSL brakes are really top notch, better than GT3. great stopping power but just limited by the lack of cooling mainly caused by track day heros (hobby drivers he called them).

He correctly stated that CSL brakes are only limited by tyre grip and not disc size or pad size

Hmmm... I'd go as far as to say that M3 CSLs front floating 345 mm discs are excellent  and with the decent brake pads like (Performance Friction "R" or Pagid RS19 / RS 29), braided lines and Racing speck brake fluid plus adequate cooling, can work very well  ... but to say they are better then Porsche Brembo GT3 set up :clown: ?!?! No way, never, not in a million years

Real men don't brake.- Fuchsrohre

Singel piston miracles of CSL are more than capable, if you are driving and you are not a big_brake_boy_cafe_racer.

Thought the CSL would be quicker than that,i suppose over 10 laps thats a big margin, what if the stock M3 had cups on like the CSL.

i think that is 2 secs at Anglesey Costal circuit which would be probabaly 4 secs at donny and 5 secs at Silverstone - probabaly half of that down to Cups:thumbs:

2 seconds per lap on a very short Anglesey 1 mile Circuit is a big difference

Maybe a bit more than that Andrew? Apparently, 70% of the 32 second difference in the Ring time, between the standard M3 and the CSL is due to tyres.... M3 was tested with Sport contact 1 tyres.
