Yes, I also run the Aussie register i.e. where are they now along with the VIN build info. Did you buy Marc's car from Tamworth?

Ha ha I wish.. I’m too old they will only let me in for holidays :bigcry:

Our Tom has only worked on one since moving to BMW Sydney, a very nice low mileage in SG. A CSL number plate, I have a pic somewhere.

I am thinking of looking into sending mine over for Tom, they do really good money over there. I think he would use it though

Hi, I don't know what your name is but anyway I bought the car from James in Brisbane. I've had it about a month.
It's done 92K kilometers and it's pretty much perfect.
I had it checked by RX in Brisbane and they gave it a great report after the inspection.
I won't be putting too many k's on it
I have an E46 M3 as well but the CSL is another dimension.

Any of you chaps want some Cup 2s? I recently sent a pair down to NZ because apparently you can't get the CSL rear sizes down under.

That was the NZ import car wasn't it.

I run the Aussie register i.e. keep a track of them and let the owners know their build details etc.

Yes that's correct.
The original owner in NZ brought it to Australia in 2012.
It had aftermarket AP brakes and Bilstein coilovers fitted before it was complianced in Queensland.
It was sold to Chris Paterson in 2012 who owned it for 18 months then sold early 2014 to his friend James Brant also of Brisbane. The car is now stock except for the springs and shocks.

New owner

Hello. I recently purchased a 45,000km csl and am looking forward to meeting any other csl owners (I’m in Sydney) and learning more about the car!

Being lazy here... anyone have any ideas on cost to ship to Australia with taxes and anything you need to be aware of.

Any of you guys just had a steering wheel fitted at BMW Sydney ?

Have a look in the Australia forum on Pistonheads, there is a very long thread in there about it.

Your not going to get rid of the old girl are you.

s.mac 18-11-2018 06:45 PM

No mate, I was thinking of sending over so I could use it over there. Not after reading PH’s . I thought it would be a few grand but not as much as they quoted. $16,500

CraigMillwardCroft 19-11-2018 04:48 PM

Is that not a reasonable price then, for the distance and time it takes.

s.mac 19-11-2018 06:36 PM

A bit steep when boats going there anyway

If you are serious, I know someone in the industry that could do a very god deal, he has arranged shipping of several cars out there for friends :).

But are you wanting to leave it there, or just take it with you for a holiday i.e. <12 months, then ship it out?

s.mac 24-11-2018 10:26 AM

My son lives there so I would want to leave it there.

Well there is no cheap option then. But a word of warning, they changed the rules a few years ago for a personal import where you have to prove that you are coming here to live with a personal import, people where bring in cars and then leaving again.

I plan to join the club as soon as my ride is shipped from Canada. On a related note, W2C has good rates for automobile shipping.
