I take it you didn't run spacers on the front Nords, but did you run spacers on rear?

Nords 15-02-2010 09:30 PM

Nope, std M3 18"s rears all round and bolted straight on using std bolts. No dramas with them and lowered Intrax...

Nords 15-02-2010 09:38 PM

Does this one show it better?

Yep, if they are on photobucket, it's easy to drag them back up again. It's the only set of photographer shots I have bought after a car trackday...

Nords forgets to mention he has Intrax and adjustable camber plates

I have used the dunlop for the last 4+ years, they are fantastic. I have run them on BBS rims and for the last 3ish years OZ ultraleggra 18', 265 all round, (which look stunning in gunmetal against black car) Intrax and -3 deg all round suit the tyre and the car handling is superb.

As already mentioned Toyo's dont work. I tried really hard years ago to set the car up on these and it felt awful, I used 18' E46 M3 alloys with 235/265 combo, no bite on turn in at all, went off very quickly, they are good on light cars only.

For me, the only 2 tyres to use are cups and dunlops. The price of the new DZ03 is eye watering but i honestly believe it is a step ahead of the cup, it will also last longer, if you can afford/justify it, buy them.

There are deals to be had on 285 (not 265) DZ03's so if anyone is buying new 18' rims think about this, maybe 10' wide, I ran these and sold them to a forum member a few years back.

Other tyres to consider are the Avon ZZR, avaliable in 265 and also Kumho V70. A curve ball tyre is also the Federal SS595RS, may not appeal to tyre snobs but I have experinced this on a E36 track car and they work.....and last.
