I have my track days (including Spa) covered under my road insurance with Competition Car Insurance.

The Ring is an exception. I used to get cover for the Ring from Moris (Everritt Boles) but they stopped doing this a few months ago...

Thanks to your past recommendation I'm also with C.C.I. and covered under my CSLs Comprehensive road policy for Spa + three other UK TDs for a remarkable £500, all in. The wonders of a decent Forum

Of sorts yes. I am covered for fully comprehensive standard road use as well as 4 x track days per year. The track day element comes with a higher excess iirc and only covers my car (as is standard for track day insurance), i.e. i'm not liable for damage to others on track.

It's up to each car driver to insure their own vehicle on track in case of damage, whether self-inflicted or otherwise...

Thats very good; in the past CCI have never seemed to be competitive for me, and I'm by no means high risk i.e no points, decent area, not 19 years old etc

I am also with CCI and have Spa included as standard amongst lots of other UK tracks!

On a slightly different note regarding the Ring, what is ADAC cover, who provides it, how much is it and is it necessary?

ADAC is the German equivalent of AA/RAC and is essentially a breakdown service. The beauty of ADAC is that they will recover your car from the Ring in the event of an accident thus avoiding some of the expense post accident/breakdown on the Ring (which is far from cheap).

I have the full-fat BMW warranty so have pan-European breakdown cover provided with that policy.

ADAC is the german equivalent of the AA. If you're a member then they will recover you from the ring if you have an accident/breakdown without charging extra. Obvioulsy also covers you for normal roads.
