Feb's EVO, No 140.
They chose 9 of their favourite 'specials' for a specials feature. Anyone guess how many porsche compared to how many M powers?
Is the owner of 379 CYE on here, I'm sure I have seem the plate before? |

Have you read the story on Guy Martin, bought a Vantage V12 but started out in a CSL - another thumbs up for it. Seems a decent guy too.

Not related to the Sunday Times article by any chance? If so then it is one each.

Ah-ha! I knew the plate seemed familiar. How was the day, did you let them drive her? There is some fuss on PH at the moment about Malton allowing Journalists drive a coupe of cars that they had on SOR and a blue 993 which was damaged (front end driving damage) by Parr whilst it was in for a service. Slightly different I know, but it makes you think about letting others drive your car.
Looks excellent, always good to see a CSL in mag articles. Good 'ammo' to beat GT3 owners with! |

Not a bad day, an early start required to get down to Goodwod for 9am !
Lots of standing around, but some interesting cars to look at and friendly owners to chat with. The Evo chaps opened up a tab for food and drink at the Goodwood cafe, so we didn't go hungry ! The weather held out until early afternoon, then it rained and rained and rained . . . . Evo insured the cars as they drove them on the road (more often than not accompanied by their respective owners) I got to drive in formation around Goodwood, and also got to take eight or so passes at one corner for a panning shot of the car cornering (just as the rain started) Henry Catchpole took my car for a ten minute drive along some of the roads surrounding Goodwood. His driving was incredibly smooth (and quick too) He seemed a genuinely good bloke. The two photographers were excellent and though under pressure to get good photos retained their sense of humour. I offered to write an "owners view" for the feature which Roger Green agreed would be a good idea. I Emailed it to him a couple of days after the photoshoot but heard nothing back from him. The courtesy of a response would have been appreciated The car's been featured in three mag photoshoots now |
