Lightbulb KW Clubsport kit - Factory Settings

For all those with KW Clubsport suspension kits fitted to their car, these are the recommended settings for compression and rebound direct from the KW factory in Germany.

There is a 'Basic' setting for road use, as well as 'Ring Dry' & 'Ring Wet' settings.

Road Basic Setting

Front
Rebound 6 clicks
Compression 1 full turn (6 clicks)

Rear
Rebound 12 clicks
Compression 1 full turn

Ring Dry Setting

Front
Rebound 6 clicks
Compression 0,75 turn (4 clicks)

Rear
Rebound 9 clicks
Compression 0,5 turn

Ring Wet Setting

Front
Rebound 9 clicks
Compression 1 full turn (6 clicks)

Rear
Rebound 12 clicks
Compression 0,75 turn

Note:

Compression is always 0,25 turn stiffer at the rear than at the front.

All adjustments should be made from the fully closed starting point (i.e. hardest settings) and wound off (softened) accordingly. Compression adjustments are made by click increments at the front, 0,25 turn increments at rear, Rebound adjustments are made by click increments.

Adjusters are easy to get to with the exception of the rear strut Rebound adjusters which are hidden by the boot carpet lining. You can cut a small hole in your carpet each side to facilitate regular adjustment.

Hope this helps

thanks Rob i wasn't sure how much to adjust the compression compared to the rebound i know that
Compression is always 0,25 turn stiffer at the rear than at the front.

Is there any ratio for
rebound front to rear
compression compared to rebound at front
compresion compared to rebound at rear

Just 'cuff it' Derek - that's what i do and it works well!

After each setting change drive a few laps to check the feel of the suspension and adjust again if necessary.

I just set it fairly neutral and left it, then just got on with a nice track day,
If it was really bad I would change it, but if it felt ok, I just got a setting and left it, come road, track, wet or dry on the one setting.

You see some guys coming in, stressing changing settings, altering bump, rebound. They go out and keep fiddling. They are still shit slow and lost half their trackday in the process.

I'd guess that is much more likely to be a wrong geometry or worn bush rather than the suspension (unless it is faulty)
