Default Very good service from BMW

The CSL had severe brake problems last week and was taken off the road by a main dealer due to it being "unsafe" - a caliper had seized and fried the front wheel bearings.

BMW UK approved a 5-series hire car and paid for it, the parts were ordered from Germany and 7 days later the car is fixed and ready to go.

On the Approved Used warranty I've had the following replaced :

- Front calipers (both)
- Front discs
- Front pads
- Front wheel bearings

I'm guessing this list of replacements would not have been cheap if I was paying.......

So well done BMW, assuming it now drives OK they've done a cracking job, especially as the initial estimate was 2-3 weeks off the road.

should get the car back tonight

I will say that in all fairness I've never had a bad experience at a BMW dealer. Service has always been supurb....which is more then I can say for the service my wife had when she had a Merc.....serves here right for having one I suppose.

Having new discs fitted to mine next weekend at the local BMW dealership. Looking at £400 including VAT/labour.

Not sure on pads, but that little list their must be over £1500 of work. Nice one
