Default Solid subframe bushes

Hi ,, has anybody ran solid akg subframe bushes, and spherical rtab, alongside shperical top inner arm bushes , iv already got eibach lower camber arms on ,they use spherical on the inner bush,, I would leave std diff bushes, And possibly run a bushed front wishbone bracket,, I’m very tempted to try it on the csl,, I’ve already got this setup on a subframe and arms ready to put on Trackday build project,, So tempting to try on csl. Anybody tried something similar, and how did you find it ????

Yep, you get a far more pronounced "thunk" on gear-changes, but other thank that, no other additional NVH.

I know you said you weren't going to, but what-ever you do, do NOT change the diff bushes, as that is where you will get a pronounced whine.

Also the uprated engine and gearbox mounts will also transfer a load of NVH into the car.

Txt for input mike,, I’m thinking looking to get a more solid feel to the car, with the spherical bushing etc ,,just for a change in the cars feel ,and get everything real tight,,, then Mabe move on to some different suspension etc,, All my std bushes are fairly new so no issues there ,, I’ll definitely save diff ,gearbox and engine mounts for track build only

I ran solid AKG Diff, RTAB and subframe, engine and trans mounts
on my track car. I have removed all of them and gone back to more flex.

Interesting billy,, I was planning to go something very similar for Trackday project,, Definitely wouldn’t do solid engine ,diff or gearbox on csl . ,, Mabe I will have to invest in some good ear plugs

I'm not surprised, the solid diff, engine and trans mounts would have made it sound like a straight cut rally car .

The RTABs and subframe bushes are fine being solid, the rest you need to wear noise cancelling head phones or ear plugs for every journey .

For the CSL I have gone Powerflex Black series for the 4 main Subframe mounts and OEM everywhere else. I fitted a RTAB Limiter kit 10yrs ago when I bought the car and have just left it in place.

Race car is solid throughout. Its shit on the road

thinking about spraying fire retardant/sound deadening expanding foam in cavity above rta pockets ,, possibly help with noise,, possibly subframe mount area, could help

GO with Sold Subframe bushings along with a subframe reinforcement kit and keep OE Diff bushes and you will hardly feel any NVH. Best thing you can do for the subframe issue too.

These guys sell everything you will need:
