Uprated Anti roll bars.. Are they needed?
As per title, are they an improvement over stock?
Which manufacturer is recommended? Many thanks |

Not IMO, most after market ones are no stronger than CSL ones. The only thing you gain is adjustability. Having adjusted my ARBs on a trackday I wouldn't recommend it, it is a right pain in the arse.

Much as Nathan said; CSL anti-roll bars were uprated from the M3 versions anyway and are of decent quality.
Everyone I have spoken to says they aren't worth upgrading from standard.

The only reason I got them is to be able to back them off in the wet, simple as that. On a trackday it is a real pain as you have to unload the bar to adjust them and then adjust the preload in the drop links, easy on the Intrax fronts as the drop link mounting point slides up and down, had to get adjustable drop links on the rear though which further add to how much of a pain it is.

This was something that was on my wishlist but has been scrubbed off.

Easier to just disconnect one end of the bar for the trackday.

It means you run with no ARB - need to unload the bar, remove the bolt from the drop link on one side, take the drop link off to stop it flapping around and you are done.
All of this is a pain in the arse for trackdays but if you want to run silly hard springs it is a useful thing to be able to do if it rains. |

Reading this thread I have not upgraded up to now the anti roll bars.
However, I get a lot of roll at the track. I was considering the H&R ARBs. Any ideas ? |

Adems fitting them into the track car so it will be good to compare. The Csl ones are miles better than standard m3 obviously. On track in a few weeks
