1M Production numbers
I was under the impression the 1M was a limited edition (given UK cars all come with a plaque saying 1 of 450). However i've also read BMW changed their mind and production (whilst only run for 1-2yrs and not collossal for RHD) was not strictly limited by number. Do folks know otherwise?
"BMW was originally going to release the 1M Coupé as a limited production model of 2,700 units. Due to overwhelming demand, the company lifted the cap. Nevertheless, production of the 1M Coupé stopped in June 2012, with 740 units sold in the US and a further 220 sold in Canada. Total 6309 cars sold worldwide" (Wikipedia) "How many of each [1M] version were produced? Worldwide production may have increased, but the UK still only got 450 cars, hence why the values have remained strong here.

I think the prices will drop a little as the M2 is almost the same price and 5 years is a big gap in technology

That may be, but the M2 is still nearly 10s slower around the 'Ring than the CSL
