Default Carbone loraine brake pads

Hi, has anyone run the race spec carbone loraine ( or however you spell it ) brake pads in ap callipers? If so how do they compare to RS-29's?? Feedback much appreciated!

Not in APs, but I wouldn't use another pad now after using them for racing,
I have APs with rs29s in the CSL but will change when the time comes.

Don't get me wrong the rs-29's are fricking awesome, ran them in the standard calliper and the bmw performance calliper and they are awesome but can get the carbone loraine significantly cheaper!! Ran them for many track days on a gsxr-750 and really rated them but on a 1500+kilo (with my fat ass and fuel) car it may be a different story!!

Hi there

I run RC6 CL's on my e36 328i track car and I wouldn't run anything else they are the tits no fade and last for ever but they are super noisy so wouldn't run them on the CSL.

Iv got rs29s on my csl in standard callipers and they are good but also v noisy when on the limit.

Might be worth a punt on the CL's how much can you get them for ?

I'm running RC5+ in my K Sport brakes (an AP copy, but I'm sure you knew that). I've not run any other hot pad yet in my E46 M3 but have done various including RS29s in my old E36 M3. Still, I can't give any comparison as I've only run these RC5+ pads in the last few weeks, on the road, and with low grip winter tyres!

What I can say though is that they do not squeal like most other pads I've tried. They don't squeal at all.

They look like they are not going to work out that much cheaper than RS-29's and I have heard the race spec pads can be a bit tricky to modulate on the road as they are a bit on/off. Think I will stick with what I know and buy RS-29's!!

Many thanks
