Default Gruppe m noise limit track day

Hello

Just did my first track day at bedford autodrome Sen from Plymouth 6hr drive lol

I have a e46 m3
Gruppe m titanium exhaust
Sport cats
Csl gen Airbox
Map

Static db 101
Mine. 98.2. Ideal I was on

Drive by its 87.5
After the misses and I had 1 go each as it was our first time I went out to get on the pace and got noise boarded once I knocked off rev changing backdown and only taking it to 7000rpm or just under .
Then got blacked flagged
88.9 on the meter , it was a windy day some other cars around me but maybe just unlucky ??
But anyway sticker removed at 11.30 in the morning !! Game over
So not sure what to do ? Been told it's the most strictest track now do I change the air box or exhaust or will it be fine anywhere else in the UK?

I thought you m3 Csl guys would know what's best?

Jaime

Of all the things on that car, I would put back the stock cats back on. Not much of a power gain anyway. It should be quiet enough for most tracks around the europe that way.

I understand Bedford is the strictest on noise.

I would think the sports cats do make a difference on bhp over 400 cell cats, but they also add to a raised db, gruppe m exhaust are known to be border line track friendly..

Shane at MB tech, sponsors section, can do single exit for you. Or go back to OEM, there are normally a few other types on ebay that pass noise level tests. Its all down to want you want, look and sound etc

do you know what cats you have on? I would look at changing them before the back box.
