Simpsons brake upgrade.
Speaking to Simpsons yesterday about brakes,AP's etc and how I didn't think it was worth the outlay for one or two track days a year. They told me they had a cheaper option as they had designed their own upgrade to fit the standard CSL discs. A front six pot (black or red). They are the same as AP's six pot but not as wide to fit the standard disc....£1200 plus VAT compare to £1800 plus VAT for full AP's.
Anyone have these or now much about them. |

Any more info on this Andy? At them prices, its not enough of a difference to not go for APs.
Speed Religion seem to offer a similar kit for significantly less. See HERE I too am considering an in-between option, but it needs to half the price of BBK to make sense IMO. |

Was just about to post a link to that myself. I've had them on my car since last month and I have to say I'm very impressed.
Did a trackday last friday and I just couldn't get them to fade at all! And I was stomping on them at the last min towards the end of the day. Brilliant. Then I did 200 miles through the Yorkshire Dales the next day without so much as a grumble from them. Today they hauled the car down from well over 150 and the car pulled up die-straight in silly-time. For the money, I think they're brilliant. Only £900 for a CSL too. |

I would agree with the above...there is not a big enough difference between AP's. If under a grand then may be worth doing.
Was looking for the link to the SR kit so thanks for that...plus it's yellow calipers... |
