Default New law to ban drifting

Just read there may be a new law passed in 2014 that will not allow traction control, etc to be switched off. Fooking interfering europrats. The good news is that older cars like cesil will become more desirable if people want to have fun.

Do you mean they'll just build cars without a "tc off" mode or it will be an offence to turn it off if you have the option ?

Track mode = grey area !

They won't make a law against the driver, just the manufacturer in making the cars.

Just wait when they will pass a law that the car cannot go faster than the speed limit.
Technology wise it's very easy to do (as most cars have GPS Navigation).

It's just a matter of time.

That's why I love the CSL.
It has all the electronics to make it go faster, not be anti-fun and gay.

That WILL happen over here very soon IMO.

They will restrict all cars to 80 mph I reckon, It will be like demolition man in a few years

The next step is going to be increasing the insurance premiums and road tax for cars of 'old technology' that are not as safe as the new ones.

The problem is the majority of people are volunteers in the 'Big Brother' technology.
i.e. I see so many people publishing their position and activity 24/7.

It's sad and depressing.-

Yep, the manufacturer will not be allowed to provide a facility to turn it off.
