Default Steering wheel paddle

The up paddle has developed an irritating fault. One minute it has a nice positive click the next it feels like putty. Any ideas, simple remedy?

Shane, I actually laughed out loud at this comment... I watched numerous videos in taking off the airbag when I bought yours but still took me a good 20 mins to get both released. After I learnt out the innards of the steering wheel with regards to the airbag worked, it is a piece of cake though.

Maybe something in there, I'm sure it'd be a cheap fix.

Sounds like the plastic cover over the micro switch has come off should be an easy fix.

Thanks for all your replies, I may now let some dodgy Elms mechanic have a look if it takes that long as I have two left hands.

No excuse, I have one right hand. I've been looking for a spare left for years now.

Once you realise what it is you are actually releasing it is a lot easier.
